Born in Osaka (Japan) in 1973 graphic designer Mori Chack created this most unlikely of cuddly animal characters when he was asked to come up with a cute bear - "I felt that the real bear wasn't like that. Then, I draw secretly a violent bear with same method of drawing as that cute bear. That was Gloomy. For me, he seems very natural, and livelier than other general bear characters which are tamed by human beings".
What's more shocking than just a wild bear is the fact that a lot of times he's shown attacking the little boy - Pitty - who rescued him when he was young. The blood you see on Gloomy Bear is there from literally scratching and biting the hand that feeds him.
Please note that none of these figures are toys so they're not really suited for those under the age of 3 due to small parts. Please also note that the keychains are quite delicate so we wouldn't recommend using them on a massive set of keys where he could get knocked around a lot.
