Here we've gathered together all manner of video game-related goodies that we thought went really well together. Have a browse and 'insert coin!' :)
Note: Due to small parts and the usual choking hazard, none of these figures are suitable for under 3 years old little ones.

Professor Layton In probably what is the most perfect example of expanding what could have so easily been just another collection of mini games the Professor Layton series on the Nintendo DS has quickly achieved classic status. We love its european 'Belleville Rendez-Vous' stylings and the fact that a gentleman in a top hat can still be a video game hero.
Now you dangle your very own Professor (or his young protégé - Luke) with these two mini-plush keychains from the animated movie - Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva.

Monster Hunter You might have heard that Monster Hunter is a little bit popular in Japan - oh yes! And now the latest version of Capcom's smash, where you take on massive creatures in a bid to become the best and most experienced monster hunter (we knew there was a clue in the title) has come to the UK as Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (or Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G in Japan) on the PSP (PlayStation Portable).
Cats (or Airu - we've also seen it spelt 'Airou') are also a big part of the Monster Hunter universe. You can get quests from them, hire them as chefs to cook in your kitchen, send them on missions and, in the latest version, have them fight alongside you as a companion.
So here we have some super cute Monster Hunter Airu zipper pulls. At a dinky 25mm (about 1") high they're designed to hook onto zip pulls (obviously!) and show your alliegance to the Monster Hunter way. They're nicely detailed and most of the designs come in either of the two main Airu races - Felyne (lighter fur with a darker stripe on the nose) and Melynx (darker fur with a lighter stripe on the nose) - just in case you're worried about such things.
Each Airu also comes with a little paper fortune which, unfortunately for us, is all in Japanese so we don't know if we're going to be lucky or not. It also probably explains the natty fortune cookie-style packaging they come in.
Oh, and they look great hanging from our Deleter Essentials Kit cases :)
Note: Due to small parts and the usual choking hazard, none of these figures are suitable for under 3 years old little ones. |

Shadow of Colossus And they're back. Yes, we have a full re-stock of these ever popular figures each of which come individually packaged in very nicely detailed boxes. We have, as usual, carefully opened each box in order to identify the contents only. The overall box size is: 120mm x 100mm x 60mm with each figure requiring a couple of second's worth of easy assembly. There are 6 figures in this series plus one secret, chase variant also. Each of these characters are beautifully sculpted and the paint job is excellent too. The stated box age for these chaps is 14 years and over.

Final Fantasy III Trading Arts Mini Figures And yet more re-stock goodies. Yeah! Each of these guys are really mni with an average height of approximately 6cm. The overall box size is: 80mm x 60mm x 40mm. Imported direct from Japan these extremely beautifully detailed and painted figures consist of 7 characters and as far as we can tell, there are no chase variants to keep an eye open for. Each figure comes complete with his/her own dinky little stand too. Cool!

Ragnarok Trading Figure Collection We were totally blown away by the fantastic attention to detail and super-cute look of these 6 mini figures from the Korean MMO. As the box will tell you, there're 'compatible parts grade' which means that you can swap heads hairstyle and weapons to create your own unique character (which ties in very nicely with the character creation in the game itself). If you're lucky you might also find one of a number of special items to further personalise your character which range from bunny ears(?) to trusty hounds and even a William Tell apple with an arrow through it. The overall box size measures approximately 110mm x 90mm x 35m. Each box contains a sealed mini figure (slightly self assembly required) plus an info sheet, a stand and accessorie (s) which are, to be honest, are quite random. Super cute and super cool.

Street Fighter II Minimates Capcom's finest get the mini figure treatment! These super-articulated fellas (and felleresses) are more like Pallisades PALz than Japanese Kubricks and like PALz they come with accessories; in this case a special attack fireball that fits over their hands or feet. If you're thinking that you don't quite recognise all the figures from SFII it's because the Street Fighter name is a little misleading. The set also includes characters from another Capcom fighting classic - Vampire Savior (or Darkstalkers in the West) which is fine with us as we've always been partial to a bit of Morrigan. Another trick to bolster the roster is the colour variant for each character which, in the game, would be the colour player 2 got if both players chose the same fighter. Originally released in the US in double-team blister packs these are the Japanese single figure versions which came blind boxed. We've opened them to give you the character of your choice but the figure is still mint with all their original packaging.

Dragon Quest Crystal Monsters - Cube Type There was a time, not so long ago, when the console RPG Dragon Quest was known to game fans for two things only: 1) Having characters designed by Akira (DragonBall) Toriyama and 2) Being bigger than Final Fantasy, but only in Japan. Now we've had Dragon Quest VIII on the PS2 over here, a smattering of Game Boy spinoffs and the news that the next big installment is heading to Nintendo's all-conquering DS so, hopefully, we're now all pretty clued up on Japan's premier role-playing series. If there were a Dragon Quest merchandising iceberg, these little crystal monsters would probably be wobbling precariously on its tip such is the range of stuff available; but you've got to start somewhere. Each one is a perfect liitle square of lucite (a clear plastic) with a tiny, painted DQ monster embedded in its middle and while they're probably not heavy enough to replace a proper glass paperweight they do have a nice heft about them (in keeping with their RPG roots we'd say about +4 against a couple of envelopes). There are five 32x32mm monsters and a bigger 50x50mm 'boss' monster to collect.

Tomy .S Tomy .S (or 'dots' if you like) are little plastic peg boards that come with a stack of pegs that allow you to make up pixel pictures of classic 8-bit video game characters. Each box comes with two boards (with stands) and 520 pegs of different colours. You're not just limited to recreating the main pictures on the front of the boxes, though and each set comes with illustrations of other images you can create. Imported direct from Japan. |

Epoch Game Center These mini arcade games measure approximately 50mm in size (that's about 2inches in old money) and yes, they actually WORK! They are powered by a small watch type battery which is included but to be honest, some of these may need replacing. The instructions are all in Japanese but hopefully their simple joy stick control is easy enough to use that you won't need to read it anyway :) Each little game comes packaged in a plastic capsule/gashaphon ball and is very very nice indeed. Honest :)
