As one of the 'founding fathers' of the art toy movement, Raymond Choy and his Qee keychains were definitely one of our first exposures to this fascinating art form. It was way back in 2001 when he created the Qee (pronunced 'key'), a design that resembles a round and squat human form and features a variety of animal heads. These 'blanks' were then given to artist and designers to decorate which lead to a vast array of designs which are collected both as series and as designs by individual artists. It's a template that's now been copied many times but the Qee was there first.
